Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water, add thin spaghetti, and cook according to package instructions for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and reserve a cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat, add diced tomatoes and balsamic vinegar, and let simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add drained spaghetti to the pan and toss well in the sauce for 1-2 minutes, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
  4. Remove from heat, fold in fresh basil, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired, and serve immediately while warm.
