- In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, creamy peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir vigorously until all ingredients are thoroughly blended, and a cohesive mixture forms, approximately 2–3 minutes.
- Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Transfer the oat mixture into the lined dish and press it down evenly, creating a compact layer.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add dark chocolate chips and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
- Place the baking dish in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the chocolate to harden and the bars to set properly.
- Once set, remove the baking dish from the fridge and lift out the bars using the parchment overhang for easy handling. Slice the bars into desired sizes.
