Preparation
- Start by chopping fresh shrimp into small pieces and placing them in a large mixing bowl.
- Add breadcrumbs, an egg (or flaxseed mixture), chopped green onions, garlic powder, and spices to the bowl with shrimp.
- With clean hands, shape the shrimp mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- In a frying pan, pour in oil about 2 inches deep and heat to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully lower the shrimp balls into the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the shrimp balls from the oil and drain on paper towels.
