  2. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently until the liquid reduces by half and deepens in color.
  3. Add 2 cups of ice-cold water to the concentrated tea and whisk vigorously for about 2 minutes to aerate.
  4. If desired, add crushed cardamom pods and simmer for an additional 5 minutes while stirring gently.
