A delicious and crispy recipe for Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings, thawed
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well to create a marinade.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss until they are evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor.
  4. Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer on the wire rack. This allows for even cooking and crispiness.
  5. Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Once cooked, remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking.
  • Try adding a tablespoon of honey to the marinade for a sweet and tangy twist.
