A refreshing summer drink made with hibiscus flowers and ripe peaches, perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 medium ripe peach, sliced
  • 1/4 cup honey (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the dried hibiscus flowers. Let steep for 15 minutes.
  3. Strain the hibiscus tea into a pitcher, discarding the flowers.
  4. While the tea is still warm, stir in the honey until fully dissolved.
  5. Add the sliced peach, vanilla extract, and lemon juice to the pitcher.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, replace half of the water with sparkling water before serving.
  • Experiment with other fruits like strawberries or mango for different flavor profiles.
