Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta is a rich and flavorful dish that combines fettuccine pasta with a creamy garlic and Parmesan sauce, making it a delightful meal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  4. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
  • Add cooked chicken or shrimp for extra protein and flavor.
