Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds chicken wings
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet for the wings to crisp up.
In a large bowl, combine the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using. Add the chicken wings and toss until they are evenly coated with the spice mixture.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, vegetable oil, and apple cider vinegar until smooth.
Pour the sauce over the seasoned wings and toss to coat thoroughly.
Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are crispy and cooked through.
For extra crispiness, broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of cooking, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
Remove from the oven and let the wings rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add more cayenne pepper or serve with a spicy dipping sauce.
To make these wings on the grill, preheat the grill to medium heat and cook the wings for 20-25 minutes, turning frequently and basting with the sauce.
