  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate cake crumbs (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup chocolate shavings (for garnish)
  • Fresh cherries (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip.
  2. In serving cups or bowls, layer 1/4 cup of chocolate cake crumbs at the bottom.
  3. Add a layer of 1/4 cup cherry pie filling on top of the cake crumbs.
  4. Spoon a layer of whipped cream (about 1/4 cup) over the cherry filling.
  5. Repeat the layers until the cups are filled, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
  6. Garnish with chocolate shavings and a fresh cherry, if desired.
