A delicious and easy Beef Teriyaki Stir-Fry recipe that combines tender flank steak with fresh vegetables and a flavorful teriyaki sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until well combined. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add bell pepper, broccoli, and snap peas. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet and pour the teriyaki sauce over the mixture. Stir well to coat everything evenly and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve over cooked rice.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • You can also substitute chicken or tofu for the beef for a different protein option.
